Hi, i apologise that I have not been able to upload any reviews this month. I have been really busy this christmas and am currently stricken by a bug; however, i hope to begin uploading again as soon as the bug has shifted. Thanks and I wish you all a happy new year.
One of the best of the teenage romance films, Say Anything works best because it does not try and sicken the audience with an overtly sentimental or mawkish narrative, but is happy to focus on a more simple story of love.
It is trashy, utterly forgettable, and contains as much depth as a puddle, but there are worse ways to spend 90 minutes. The film is also suitably nasty in the way it depicts the cut-throat world of business.
Scum remains one of the most powerful British films of all time. The film is not undeserving of the notoriety that surrounds it, but deserves to be remembered for much more than the admittedly brutal imagery.
